Visualize the win
We all have goals and ideas, some big goals and some ideas that seem pretty far out because we have been conditioned to be more realistic as we grow up rather than hanging on to our imagination. The ability to really visualize a goal or idea you have in detail is a major KEY to actually achieving the goal. Almost every goal I've ever set has been reached through visualization and consistent action. Visualization being one of these consistent actions. You must carve out time for yourself to actually see your goals coming true. I make visualization a PRIORITY EVERYDAY.
The more SPECIFIC you can be when visualizing your goals the better. I will tell you about a goal I set years ago of achieving 315 pounds on bench press. I had been lifting for years on and off with this being an ultimate goal. The closer I got to the goal I noticed my progress slowing and I grew nervous about trying that type of weight at 158 pound body weight, this was a big deal to me. It became a mental battle of " I'm not ready yet" week after week. So I started visualizing in detail how it would look watching myself bench 315. I went through the motions OVER AND OVER in my head. I imagined how the weight would feel and how I would feel once I achieved it. I ran the whole scenario until it was almost like I had done it already. I could feel my heart racing from excitement like I had achieved my ultimate goal already.
That afternoon I went in the gym with this vision on my mind and went through the motions and benched 315 and even went to 325 right after that! so not only did i reach my goal i was able to go beyond my own expectations which says I had been ready all along but I had to believe and be able to see myself actually doing it. That goes with anything in life. VISUALIZE THE WIN and keep moving forward a little at a time, visualizing the end result you really want DAILY. Make it a PRIORITY to see your dreams coming true because its a MAJOR part of bringing them to life.
